        Rally for the Cure

Each Rally event brings us one step closer to Our Vision of A World Without Breast Cancer.  These events work to educate women about their breast health and serve as a reminder about the importance of early detection.  Greater awareness and early detection result in more lives saved.  The impact from each Rally event reaches beyond the golf course and tennis court.  Along with raising awareness and mobilizing friends and neighbors, many Rally Ambassadors have incorporated unique fundraising elements into their events that ultimately benefit research and outreach programs supported by Komen for the Cure®.  In 2009, more than $3 million raised through Rally events remained in local communities through Komen's Affiliate Network.  Thanks to programs like Rally for the Cure®, Komen is the largest private funder of community-based breast health education, breast cancer screening and treatment programs in the United States.
